The use of computer technology in the healthcare setting is growing. There is an increasing need for continuing
education in the applicable specialty of nursing informatics. ICCE, L.L.C. offers a variety of education programs including,
Weekend Immersion in Nursing Informatics (WINI), Informatics Immersion, and Hot Topics in Informatics. Each of these
programs will provide nursing informatics continuing education credit. The nursing informatics certification examination requires 30
contact hours of continuing education in the Nursing Informatics (NI) specialty within the last three years. Once certification
is attained, there is an ongoing requirement for NI continuing education as a part of the recertification process. . By 2005,
recertification in NI will require 75 contact hours of continuing education.
Less money is available to send employees away for conferences and continuing education. ICCE L.L.C. offers
a weekend course, at an affordable price, in close proximity to the attendees so that individuals can afford to pay for the
workshop without corporate funding.
